There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered before final cut day, but here is my first attempt at predicting how the Jets’ final 53-man roster will look like.

Some of the biggest questions are at running back and receiver where the status of Mike Goodson and Santoino Holmes are very much up in the air. As a result, some spots may open up if either player starts on PUP or in Goodson’s case, possibly even released.

I guess you tagged pretty much all the favorites, but no way Ben Obomanu gets beat out by both Spadola AND Rogers

  2. JetOrange says:

I think you are pretty close, very nice job. Primarily due to special team needs , I think you need a 25/25 Split of offense and defense rather than 28/22…Adding Lankster DBS, Fletcher Safety , and Ricky Sapp OLB…cutting Zack Rogers, Goodson and McElroy.

    Ducasse over Campbell
    Shugarts over Aboushi

It will be interesting to see if Idzik protects his draft choices at the cost of hurtin this years team

I am pretty sure the back up qb doesn’t count against the 53 man roster anymore.

Maybe that rule hasn’t been put in place. It was talked about. I know your 3rd qb known as your emergency qb doesn’t count against your 45 that dress for the game. I was thinking they put the backup qb as not counting against the 53. Might have never taken place though.
