It’s a reasonably tough argument to make given the guy is “listed” at 6’2, is currently dealing with injuries, and has never had a completion percentage better than 58% for a season. But again, this is about potential. The leap from talented college athlete to successful pro is in a lot of cases a big one. In a lot of cases its never made. Guys like JaMarcus Russell, Akili Smith and Vince Young would have made this list in some capacity but as NFL quarterbacks they were or are major disappointments. (more…)

2013 was devoid of star power at quarterback. That’s not the case this year as you’ll see. These players all have enough upside worthy of recognition.

You may be surprised to see the consensus #1 QB on the Honorable Mention list and not First Team. If you were to rank all the 2014 eligible quarterbacks based on overall ability and likeliness to succeed at the next level, Bridgewater would no doubt top the list.
