It’s been a wild first two nights of the 2013 NFL Draft. We knew the quarterback class was weak, but this weak! Only EJ Manuel, Geno Smith and Mike Glennon went in the first three rounds. Last year was one of the best ever and four went in the top 22! A more pedestrian 2011 which is a better comparison saw seven in the first three rounds.

One of those less than stellar QB prospects was taken by the J-E-T-S Jets with #39 overall selection. Ironically to start the year that is exactly where I had him. Of course I had Barkley #1 and Logan Thomas #2….yeah.

As the draft closes in its important to know who has the ability to be a future star. That’s right right, who has potential, upside or a high ceiling. Call it what you want but it will undoubtedly cause future busts get over-drafted as well as blue chip gambles pay off in a big way.

ESPN’s Mark Schlereth calls it the Underpants Olympics is a semi-mocking tone, but while film study is far more valuable, much can be learned from comparing these incredible athletes by how fast they run, how high they can jump as well as getting an accurate picture of their height and weight.

A lot of questions can be answered in Indy and some players will shine and some will see their stock slide. This is part two of my 2013 Combine Preview:
