Report: Revis Trade Could be Done as Soon as Tonight

After several months of conflicting reports surrounding the Revis trade saga, it appears as if the Jets’ prized cornerback is headed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after all.

Rich Cimini reports that Revis will travel to Tampa to take a physical, while Jason Cole notes that a trade agreement is in place and a deal could be done as soon as tonight or tomorrow morning.  (more…)

It’s been a rough week for the Jets and their fan base, with questions marks being raised about every piece of the team. The quarterback situation is currently a disaster, the front office appears to be clueless, and Rex Ryan is officially on the hot seat.

The redundant topic of who will play quarterback for the Jets next year is pointless at the moment, as the cap situation is foggy and there are no quality  quarterbacks on the market.

Darrelle Revis Injury: Can He Return to Dominance by 2013?

No matter where the Jets end up this season, one of the biggest issues facing the Jets beyond 2012 is the fate of Darrelle Revis, both in terms of how well he can play and how his tenuous contract situation will play out.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Revis acknowledged that he will have to prove himself to the Jets in 2013 before the Jets sign him to the massive extension he was in line for. ACL tears have been known to linger throughout some players careers, and some have never been the same since tearing it.

Revis is set to have surgery today, October 16th. He said he expects to start jogging in 12-16 weeks. Can he return to his legendary level of play in time for the 2013 season?

Darrelle Revis Out for Season: The Time is Now for Rex Ryan to Shine

In devastating news, the Jets have announced that All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis is out for the season with a torn ACL. It will require surgery.

Of course, losing a player of Revis’ stature would have rippling affects throughout the team. No longer can the Jets wield their unique coverage schemes to give them a chance to shut down even the best offenses in the game. Even if you aren’t a Jets fan, this is a crushing blow to all of those who enjoy watching great football.

So, where do the Jets go from here?
