The Jets’ first round selection looked to be booked for a DE/OLB (Moore, Mingo, Jones, Jordan, and Ansah) but now Cordarrelle Patterson has entered the picture as a viable option to inject some juice into the dormant passing attack. That, and the fact this draft is a perfect opportunity to trade down, gain picks and lose almost no value. So my former “2nd Rounder” category can be expanded to include a possible first round pick. Hence the “Premium Pick” label.
A potentially cheaper alternative to a play-making wide out could be a big pass catcher from the tight end spot. Here are some options.
