With the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine drills starting on Saturday, the entire NFL world will be centered in on the more than 300 prospects who will workout in front of teams over the next few days.

The combine isn’t the end-all-be-all for a prospect’s draft stock, but many players head into Indy with something to prove. Whether it’s speed, strength, health or character concerns, a prospect must clear up the concerns surrounding him in order to avoid a rapid slide down draft boards.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars:

Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech

If the Jaguars are picking first in the draft, it will be because Blaine Gabbert has all but failed as the Jaguars’ starter. It will certainly be interesting to see who winds up being the top passer this year, but Thomas has Cam Newton-like physical traits that could push him up to number one.

2. Cleveland Browns

Robert Woods, WR, USC

No matter what happens to the Browns in 2012, they are not going to give up on their first-round quarterback after just one season. They could, however, use an overhaul to their receiving corps, and Woods is the best receiver in this year’s class.

Accuracy: In general, Barkley is a very accurate thrower. He will place the ball on the receiver’s hands for them to make yards after the catch. Barkley is very good knowing when to use touch and when to zip the ball. He will place the ball away from defenders, even if it means throwing near the receiver’s feet.  Barkley throws the fade route well, and can drop the ball into a receiver’s hands around and over defenders. However, he sometimes underthrows on deep balls and gives his receivers limited time to make adjustments.
