It may be early in the season, but it is never too early to start thinking about what kind of direction the Jets will need to take in next year’s draft.

So far, the jets have gotten some solid production out of positions that were supposed to be huge weakness, while some former strengths have fallen back into the “needy” category. Let’s take a look at which positions need an infusion of young talent the most:

It’s never too early to start looking forward to the future—especially in times like these for Jets fans.

The season has yet to start and the Jets could certainly surprise a lot of people if their rookies make a big impact early on, but there is a very good chance that the Jets will be picking high in the 2014 draft.

While this does call for another season of losing, it does give the Jets a chance to add a dynamic player on either side of the ball that can help bring them back into contention. Here are some possible first-round picks heading into the second week of college football.

Even though hardly any Jets players who will be starting at the kickoff of the regular season played in last night’s pre-season game, there was still crucial matters on the line.  Positional battles were given their final out of practice efforts, players on the bubble proved their respective worth for the final time, and some won and lost playing time.  So, it’s essential that we take a deeper look at who showed up when it mattered most.

The Jets have had some embarrassing, forgettable moments under Rex Ryan, but the series of events that occurred on Saturday night were just downright strange.

The Jets were able to actually beat the Giants to win the all-important Snoopy trophy, but the aftermath had a vibe of a devastating loss rather than a preseason victory. Let’s take a look at how things turned out the way they did and why the game had a lot more positives than the headlines would suggest.
