With the Jets scheduled to pick somewhere in the 9-14 range in April’s draft, they are out of reach to draft one of the two top prospects, Geno Smith and Tyler Wilson.
There are, however, a handful of passers that could be available in the second round that may not get as much fanfare as some of the well-known players but carry plenty of pro potential in their own right. Plus, drafting a quarterback in the second round allows a regime to move on from him without it costing them their job.
Here are some second-round options for the Jets.
